Every morning in La Boquilla, an Afro-Colombian village with African origins, fishermen going back generations use traditional techniques in the Ciénaga de Juan Polo and Ciénaga de la Virgen lagoons to catch sea bass, shad, sea bream, ocean bass, mullet, sea snails, clams, shrimp, crawfish, and lobster. Now, the moment has come to say goodbye to this beautiful country. Board the shared boat transfer from Las Islas, departing at noon. Upon arrival at the port, our driver and guide will pick you up and transfer you to Cartagena airport for your flight to Bogotá, which takes approximately one hour and 30 minutes.
Once in Bogotá, catch your international flight to Quito, a journey of about 2 hours. Finally, upon arrival in Quito, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of your day at your leisure exploring Ecuador’s capital, the first city to be named a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site.

Board Sacha’s private motorized canoe for a scenic 2-hour ride down the river. Just before reaching Sacha Lodge, you’ll embark on a 30-minute hike through the rainforest to Lake Pilchicocha. Day 24 Exploring Yasuní National Park
You might begin the day paddling dugout canoes along tannin-rich black-water creeks and lakes, where luxuriant lianas, orchids, bromeliads, and palm trees thrive, always with the possibility of spotting animals, from the tiny pygmy marmoset to the feared ocelot or puma. Then, you could board the motorized canoe for a short ride along the Napo River to visit the Providencia Community of Yasuní, learning about their jungle way of life and testing out their cooking techniques, stopping to watch the parrot clay lick along the way.
An afternoon excursion might see you trekking through pristine Terra Firme forest, where 150-foot kapok trees tower above and roots form huge buttresses to give trees support, your guide pointing out the crest owl territory and calling to the howler monkeys. You could then climb 94 ft (30 m) up to the Canopy Walk, a 940-foot (275-meter) bridge across the treetops from where you can spot dozens of animals and birds.

Day 25 Return to Quito
This is the last day of your Amazon adventure with Sacha. You will have an early breakfast and departure from the lodge at 7:30 AM for an easy walk on the boardwalk to watch monkeys one last time before your final departure. You will arrive in Coca and be escorted to the Coca airport where the plane tickets will be in the hands of Sacha employees, waiting to help you board the plane and be present for a final farewell.
The scheduled arrival at Quito’s airport is approximately 12:30 PM. You will be brought directly to the Coca airport where you will board your returning flight from Coca to Quito, which takes about 35 minutes. You will be provided a transfer from the Quito International Airport to your selected hotel in Quito.

Your driver will be waiting at the arrivals area to take you on a quick five-minute drive to your hotel in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. DAY 32 From Tortuga Bay to Isabela Pier
Today, visit one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos Islands, Tortuga Bay. The walk from Puerto Ayora village takes about 25 minutes, leading you to pristine white sand and turquoise waters. Enjoy a quiet beach day, rent kayaks, and spot marine iguanas on the rocks and sand. Remember to bring enough water and snacks, as there are no vendors. After your beach adventure, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Puerto Ayora passenger pier.
At 15:00, depart on a public speedboat from Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz to Puerto Villamil, Isabela Island, a journey of about 2 hours.
