Beautiful, Safe, Ecuador! Get your cameras ready!! Rebecca Adventure Travel worked with us to customize a 15 day, self-driven tour from the top of the country to the bottom of the country within the Ecuadorian Andes mountains. It’s was a fast paced trip but so worth being able to see the center of the country as well as some of own adventures. We planned the trip well in advance and selected each destination with purpose. Rebecca Adventure Travel did the rest. Fine hotels, excellent guides, car rental, attractions, some meals, and they provided FULL TIME guidance throughout the trip. We are well pleased with the team, communication was excellent and the hotels were beyond our expectations. We will use Rebecca Adventure Travel again and highly recommend their services. Many thanks to Maggie, Guillermo, Miguel, Katie!!Posted on Tripadvisor

A trip to remember! We booked the 23-Day Complete Ecuador & Galapagos tour through Juan in the Rebecca office. From the start there was clear communication and a helpful attitude, nothing was a problem. This continued throughout the whole trip. The guides were awesome and Carlos and the Operations team were always on call to help us if we needed it. This was a fantastic tour which covered all the main attractions including a week in the Galapagos islands which was amazing. I highly recommend Rebecca Adventure Travel!Posted on Tripadvisor

Zorgeloos reizen in Ecuador! Alles was perfect geregeld. Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Start your Quito and Cuyabeno Amazon tour by landing in Quito, a city framed by Andean peaks and layered with centuries of history. Your private driver greets you at the airport and transfers you comfortably to your hotel, giving you a first glimpse of Ecuador’s highland capital. As you settle in, breathe in the crisp mountain air and prepare for the cultural richness and volcanic landscapes that await in the days ahead during your Quito & Andes immersion. Spend the night at Hotel Carlota Quito.

Day two of your 9-day Ecuador Amazon tour starts after breakfast. Begin your day exploring the UNESCO-listed Historic Center of Ecuador’s capital, where ornate churches, grand plazas, and cobbled streets reveal the city’s colonial legacy. Step inside architectural masterpieces and learn how history still shapes daily life in Old Town Quito. Enjoy a traditional lunch alongside locals, then stand at the Middle of the World, visiting the Equator Monument and the Intiñan Museum for a hands-on introduction to Ecuador’s equatorial identity.

Today, your Quito and Cuyabeno Amazon tour begins before dawn as you leave the Andes behind and travel toward the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. Upon arrival, board a motorized canoe and glide deep into the rainforest, where your naturalist guide introduces the rhythms of this protected ecosystem during a two-hour trip down the river. Arrive at your Amazon ecolodge and settle into the sounds of the jungle before dinner. After sunset, step into the forest for a guided night walk, where insects, amphibians, and nocturnal wildlife reveal a completely different side of your 9-day Ecuador Amazon itinerary.

One of the best parts of Ecuador Andes and Amazon vacation packages is waking to the sounds of the jungle and heading out by canoe during the most active hours of the day. As mist lifts from the water, watch for birds, monkeys, and movement along the riverbanks. After breakfast, venture into the primary rainforest with your naturalist and local guide, who share ancestral knowledge about medicinal plants and survival techniques. Following lunch, explore again by paddling or motorized canoe, scanning the shoreline for wildlife such as pink river dolphins. After dinner, step into the forest for a guided night walk in search of insects, frogs, and other nocturnal creatures.

As your Quito and Cuyabeno Amazon tour continues, spend a full day immersed in the depth and rhythm of the Amazon. After breakfast, trek into pristine primary forest with your native guide, who reveals how generations have used medicinal plants and forest resources while protecting a delicate ecological balance. Return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest before navigating the Cuyabeno River, scanning the banks for wildlife. After dinner, head out by canoe on a night excursion to search for caimans and nocturnal birds under the jungle sky.

After breakfast, travel by canoe along the Cuyabeno River to visit a Kichwa community, where your naturalist guide introduces you to ancestral traditions, daily life, and the evolving relationship between culture and rainforest. This meaningful exchange adds depth to your experience. Later, navigate back to Cuyabeno Bridge and continue overland to Quito, arriving in the evening with a deeper understanding of Ecuador’s Amazon and its living cultures. This is the best part of Cuyabeno wildlife reserve tours from Quito.

Enjoy a slower rhythm today without planned guided activities and shape the experience around your interests. Spend it discovering Quito at your own rhythm. Wander local markets, explore hidden cafés, or relax at your hotel with views of the Andean skyline. If you crave more adventure, choose an optional day trip to Mindo’s cloud forest, Papallacta’s thermal springs, Baños’ waterfalls, or saddle up for horseback riding through the surrounding mountains.

Enjoy another full day in Quito to experience what you may have missed or to explore something entirely new. You can visit a nearby cloud forest in Mindo, relax in Papallacta’s thermal springs, explore contemporary neighborhoods, or dive deeper into the capital’s culinary scene. This flexible day allows you to shape your Quito and Amazon vacation package around your interests before continuing your Ecuador journey.

After breakfast, your private driver transfers you comfortably to Quito International Airport for your onward flight. As your Quito and Amazon rainforest tour Ecuador comes to a close, take with you the sounds of the jungle, the energy of the Andes, and memories shaped by nature, culture, and meaningful connection.
