Welcome to your six-day Galápagos land-based adventure. To enjoy the full itinerary, we recommend booking a flight that arrives at Baltra Airport before noon.
If you arrive before 12:00 PM, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Puerto Ayora for lunch before boarding the afternoon speedboat to Isabela Island. Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to your hotel in Puerto Villamil.
Note: If your flight arrives after 12:00 PM, you’ll spend your first night on Santa Cruz. Your itinerary will be adjusted to accommodate your arrival, ensuring you experience every included excursion before your departure from Ecuador.

This morning, explore Isabela’s wetlands on a guided excursion through lava fields, mangroves, and coastal lagoons. Along the way, you’ll visit the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, the historic Wall of Tears, and Tunel del Estero before learning more about ongoing conservation efforts across the archipelago.
After lunch, continue to Tintoreras Islet, one of Isabela’s best wildlife sites. Walk across young volcanic rock, watch marine iguanas basking in the sun, and snorkel alongside sea lions while white-tip reef sharks rest in the shallow lava channels. The surrounding protected habitats are managed by the Galápagos National Park.

Depending on the day’s schedule, your excursion departs either in the morning or late morning for Los Túneles, one of Isabela Island’s premier snorkeling sites. After a short boat ride from Puerto Villamil, you’ll explore a maze of lava arches, crystal-clear channels, and sheltered pools created by ancient volcanic flows.
Keep an eye out for sea turtles, reef sharks, rays, Galápagos penguins, sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and colorful reef fish. After returning to Puerto Villamil, spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or snorkeling independently at nearby Concha de Perla.

An early morning speedboat returns you to Santa Cruz Island. After breakfast, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, where you’ll learn about giant tortoise conservation, ongoing scientific research, and the islands’ unique ecosystems. Additional information about its conservation programs can be found through the Charles Darwin Foundation.
Later, explore Puerto Ayora’s coastline on a guided Bay Tour. Cruise between La Lobería, Punta Camaño, the Canal del Amor, and Playa de los Perros, with opportunities to spot sea lions, marine iguanas, reef sharks, and tropical fish along the way.

Today’s destination depends on National Park permits and daily operating schedules. Whether you visit Santa Fe or Pinzón Island, you’ll spend the day exploring one of the Galápagos’ remarkable uninhabited islands.
Santa Fe is known for its protected bay, giant prickly pear cacti, and excellent snorkeling with sea lions, rays, sea turtles, and tropical fish. If visiting Pinzón, you’ll discover quiet coves, mangrove-lined shores, and abundant marine life while also participating in a traditional “experiential fishing” activity that introduces local fishing practices.
Note: A wet landing is required for some excursions, meaning you’ll step directly into shallow water from the boat. Quick-drying clothing and sandals or water shoes are recommended.

After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to Baltra Airport for your return flight to Quito or Guayaquil, bringing your Galápagos island-hopping adventure to a close.
