Tour Summary

You will explore the Galapagos Islands with a combination of organized day tours with an English-speaking guide and time to explore by yourself with our self-guided packages. During the Galapagos Diving Tour, you will stay in local tourist superior-class hotels with private rooms and bathrooms. All tours include meals, transportation on and between the islands, and activities mentioned in the tour itinerary.

Itinerary

  • DAY 1 SAN CRISTOBAL – FREE TIME

    Upon arrival to Galapagos (San Cristobal Airport) our transportation will take you to the village (5 minutes). You can check in to the hotel and you can visit some nice places by yourself (Playa Mann, Tijeretas etc). We provide you a self-guided package for the best tips and restaurants. Around 17.00 you should visit the dive school to prepare for your first dive the next day.

  • DAY 2 DIVING KICKER ROCK

    Today you will go on your first dive in the Galapagos islands! You will go for about 45 minutes by boat to reach Kicker Rock. When you get there you will have a short check dive to make sure your equipment is good. After this you do two immersions of about 50 minutes each. After the dives you have a lunch on board and whenever the current is good and the National Park has given the permission you will visit a beach close by to relax. Around 3:00 or 4:00 PM, you will be back in the village.

  • DAY 3 FREE TIME SAN CRISTOBAL – SANTA CRUZ SPEEDBOAT

    In the morning you have to visit some spots by yourself; for example the Loberia or Playa Chino. At 2 PM you will take the public speedboat to get to Santa Cruz island (Puerto Ayora village). The boat ride takes about 2,5 hours. Upon arrival you should visit the dive school to try out your gear. At night you can walk around in the cosy village and try one of the (seafood) restaurants.

  • DAY 4 First Daily Dive from Santa Cruz

    In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and your dive guide will take you to a dive site located near Santa Cruz. The dive you will experience on this day will depend on the day of the week. You will reach the dive site by speedboat. Depending on the dive site, it will take between 30 minutes and 2.5 hours to arrive. You will have two dive immersions, both about 50 minutes each.

    Depending on where you dive today, you will return to Puerto Ayora between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. If you arrive by 3 in the afternoon, you have time to visit some self-guided sites such as the Charles Darwin Research Station, Las Grietas, Tortuga Bay, or Playa de Los Alemanes.

  • DAY 5 Second Daily Dive from Santa Cruz

    In the morning, you will depart once more to one of the dive sites located near Santa Cruz. As mentioned before, this dive site will depend on the day of the week. You will have two dives, about 50 minutes each, and return in the afternoon between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m.

  • DAY 6 Third Daily Dive from Santa Cruz

    In the morning you will depart for your final dive site near Santa Cruz. As mentioned before, the dive site will depend on the day of the week. You will reach the dive site by speedboat and have two immersions of about 50 minutes each. You will return between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Take advantage of your free time in the evening to explore Puerto Ayora.

  • DAY 7 TRANSFER OUT

    Today your Galapagos Diving trip ends. You can choose a flight out from Baltra at any hour, the drop off will be planned about 3,5 hours before your departure.

Additional information

  • Prices for 2024 and 2025 are subject to change.
  • The minimum age for this tour is 10 years.
  • For children under the age of 12, there is a 10% discount.
  • It is recommended to have DAN Diving insurance.
  • It is important to have valid travel and medical insurance. Please inform us of any known medical conditions you have.
  • Tap water on the Galapagos Islands might contain bacteria and should not be consumed, not even for brushing your teeth. Bottled or purified water is always recommended.
  • Inform yourself about food safety when traveling to tropical countries. Take the necessary precaution to avoid food poisoning (always wash your hands before eating, don’t eat ‘street food’, only eat peeled fruits, etc.).
  • There are no guides on the transportation by public speedboat between islands.
  • Try to only bring small baggage/bags since public transportation on the Galapagos Islands is quite small.

  • Please note that the Galapagos is a National Park and schedules can change all the time due to permissions.
