DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN QUITO
After your flight to Quito, you will be picked up by one of our drivers who will bring you safely to your hotel.

DAY 2 HISTORICAL CENTRE OF QUITO – EQUATOR
After breakfast, you will discover the beauty of the colonial buildings and plazas of the Historical Center of Quito. Lunch will be served at a typical local ”almuerzo” place, and in the afternoon, you will visit the Equator and its Inti-Nan Museum.

DAY 3 COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK
You will continue your Quito & Andes Adventure early in the morning. After a large breakfast, you will go on a biking tour into the beautiful Cotopaxi National Park. This is a shared tour, so there will be other guests.

DAY 4 QUILOTOA
Today, you will visit the Quilotoa Crater Lake. This beautiful lagoon was formed by an eruption about 800 years ago. You will go on a hike down to the lake where you can explore the shore and its surroundings. For the return to the top, you can rent a mule who will bring you up again. The whole hike will take about 2 hours. In this area, you will encounter a lot of indigenous people with their beautiful clothes and culture.

DAY 5 COTACACHI – OTAVALO – PEGUCHE WATERFALL
The first activity of the day will be heading north of the country to visit Otavalo and its surroundings. You will stop at a viewpoint in Lago San Pablo and then visit the famous market of Otavalo where you can buy picturesque local handicrafts. After a typical, local two-course lunch, the driver will take you to the Peguche Waterfall, and finally, drop you off in the lodge located close to Cotacachi.

DAY 6 FREE DAY
Today, you will have a free day to relax. You could also take the chance to explore the unique surroundings of the hacienda by yourself. For example, you can do an unguided hiking tour to Cotacachi, visit Cuicocha Lake, or you can even go again to Otavalo.

DAY 7 MOJANDA LAGOON – QUITO
After enjoying breakfast, you will visit the Mojanda Lagoon, located south of Otavalo. Here you will enjoy the beautiful landscape of the surroundings while you will engage in a small hike. After this activity, you will finally go back to Quito.

DAY 8 FREE DAY IN QUITO
On this day, you will have free time to explore the city by yourself, go shopping, or simply relax at your hotel. Additionally, you can take an optional day trip to a place nearby. Some suggestions are Mindo, Papallacta, Baños or you can even do horseback riding in the mountains.

- Since you will ride on steep mountain trails where oxygen is limited, it is our safety recommendation that the rider weighs 220 lbs (100 kg) or less.
- Inform yourself about food safety when traveling to tropical countries. Take the necessary precautions to avoid food poisoning (always wash your hands before eating, don’t eat street food, only eat peeled fruits, etc.).
- It is mandatory to have valid travel and medical insurance. Please inform us of any known medical conditions you have.
- Rebecca Adventure Travel and the respective cruise operator reserve the right to change the itinerary without prior notice due to weather conditions, availability, National Park regulations or notifications, and unforeseeable circumstances.
- If you would like to enter the Cotopaxi National Park (for example, to visit Limpiopungo or the Cotopaxi Refugio, or to stop underway to take pictures), you are required to rent the services of a local guide. The cost is USD 40.
