This 3-Day Cultural Quito tour includes a visit to a traditional market, a cooking class, and a dinner with a local family. You will explore the historical center of Cultural Quito which has been part of the Unesco World Heritage list since 1978. You will also visit other highlights such as the Teleferiqo, the Equator Line, and Catequilla. You will stay in the 5-star experience Hotel Illa at the Historical Centre or La Palma Polo Club, a country-style hotel. All tours are led by private guides.

Itinerary
DAY 1 TRANSFER IN – DINNER WITH LOCAL FAMILY
Upon arrival at Quito Airport, an English-speaking guide will pick you up and take you to your hotel. The drive will be about 20 minutes if you choose La Palma Polo Club, or 45 minutes if you pick the Hotel Illa. At night, you will have dinner with a local family so that you can experience the culture and food traditions of an authentic family from Quito. You can bring some chocolates or a bottle of wine to share with your hosts if you want, but it is not mandatory.

DAY 2 QUITO HISTORICAL CENTRE – COOKING CLASS – TELEFERICO
On the morning of your second day, you will visit the highlights of the historical city center of Quito, including the Basilica church, La Ronda Street, and the San Francisco church. You will stroll through the lovely streets and plazas of the old town. After this, you will visit a local market accompanied by a chef who will explain all about the Ecuadorian typical ingredients. Then, with the help of the chef, you will prepare your own Ecuadorian lunch during a special cooking class. In the afternoon, you will go to the Teleferico where you will be able to go up in cable carts, reaching 3,945 meters (12,943 ft). Here, you can enjoy one of the most amazing views over Quito. Additionally, you can take some nice pictures of the famous Teleferico swing.

DAY 3 CATEQUILLA – EQUATOR – TRANSFER OUT
This is the last day of your Quito cultural adventure. In the morning, you will visit the equator/center of the world area in the north of Quito. One of the highlights here is the archeological site, Catequilla Mountain. It is the only prehispanic site in the Americas that is located precisely at the Earth’s Equator. After the visit to the center of the world area, you will be transferred out to the airport or to another destination, so you can continue your journey through Ecuador.
