Beautiful, Safe, Ecuador! Get your cameras ready!!
Rebecca Adventure Travel worked with us to customize a 15 day, self-driven tour from the top of the country to the bottom of the country within the Ecuadorian Andes mountains. It’s was a fast paced trip but so worth being able to see the center of the country as well as some of own adventures. We planned the trip well in advance and selected each destination with purpose. Rebecca Adventure Travel did the rest. Fine hotels, excellent guides, car rental, attractions, some meals, and they provided FULL TIME guidance throughout the trip. We are well pleased with the team, communication was excellent and the hotels were beyond our expectations. We will use Rebecca Adventure Travel again and highly recommend their services. A trip to remember!
We booked the 23-Day Complete Ecuador & Galapagos tour through Juan in the Rebecca office. From the start there was clear communication and a helpful attitude, nothing was a problem. This continued throughout the whole trip. The guides were awesome and Carlos and the Operations team were always on call to help us if we needed it. This was a fantastic tour which covered all the main attractions including a week in the Galapagos islands which was amazing. I highly recommend Rebecca Adventure Travel!

Zorgeloos reizen in Ecuador!
Met Rebbeca’s Adventure traveling een individuele reis geboekt. 26 dagen Ecuador en de Galapagos eilanden en o.a. Quito, Mindo, Amazone, heetwaterbronnen, Cuenca, Baños en nog veel meer. Wat een fantastische reis hadden we. Eerst met ons gezin en halverwege sloten onze vrienden vanuit Aruba aan. Alles was perfect geregeld. Eigen busje met vaste gids en chauffeur. Bij iedere volgende locatie een update vanaf kantoor met de details voor de volgende bestemming. Hierdoor hadden we een zorgeloze tijd en hebben we Ecuador echt mogen leren kennen en beleven!   • DAY 1: Cotopaxi National Park

    To start this 2-Day Horseback Riding Cotopaxi Tour, you will be picked up at your selected hotel in Quito and begin driving to Hacienda el Porvenir through the Avenue of the Volcanoes. Upon arrival at Hacienda El Porvenir, a warm welcome will introduce you to the hacienda’s facilities. Get acquainted with the chagra dress, the typical attire of Andean horsemen.

    Participate in a brief riding lesson to familiarize yourself with the horses and riding techniques. Get your horses ready for the journey ahead.

    Traverse the slopes of the Rumiñahui Volcano, following exclusive paths inside the hacienda. Admire the breathtaking Andean panoramas, witnessing herds of wild bulls, diverse bird species, and stunning landscapes. Reach a scenic viewpoint near the rocky peaks of Rumiñahui, where, on a clear day, you can behold the majestic sight of 12 more volcanoes in the distance. Enjoy a delicious box lunch, savoring the flavors of local cuisine.

    En route back to the hacienda, stop at Chusigmachai, also known as the Owl Refuge. Arrive at the hacienda feeling accomplished and enriched by the day’s adventures.  Take some time to relax and unwind, soaking in the peaceful ambiance of the hacienda.

    Enjoy a delicious breakfast at Hacienda El Porvenir, preparing for an exciting day ahead. Start your ride towards the heights of Rumiñahui, embarking on a spectacular journey. Initially, the ride will be at a walking pace, allowing you to get comfortable with your horse and the terrain. As you progress, there will be opportunities to pick up the pace, either trotting or cantering.

    Reach the base of the Central Summit of Rumiñahui and take a break. Enjoy a hot drink, savoring the warmth and energy it provides during the ride. Keep an eye out for Andean birds, herds of wild horses, and magnificent wild bravo cattle.

    This ride offers a fantastic opportunity to delve into the local Chagra culture, experiencing the traditions and customs of Andean horsemen. Ride off-road, following ancient wild horse tracks, and feel a deeper connection with nature.

  • To enter Ecuador, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your intended departure from the country.
  • Prices are subject to seasonal surcharges during Christmas, New Year’s, and Semana Santa.
  • For dates from 15 Jun – 20 Aug and 15 Dic – 15 Jan, please contact us to book the tour due to high season availability.
  • The single supplement fee is 100%.
  • Important things to bring: warm and waterproof clothing, gloves, water, energy snacks, sunblock, sunglasses, and your passport.
  • Keep in mind that the weather at 13,000 ft (4,000 m) can change suddenly from sunny to cold with stormy winds and wet snow.
  • Since you will ride on steep mountain trails where oxygen is limited, it is our safety recommendation that the rider weigh 220 lbs (100 kg) or less.
  • Inform yourself about food safety when traveling to tropical countries. Take the necessary precautions to avoid food poisoning (always wash your hands before eating, don’t eat street food, only eat peeled fruits, etc.).
  • It is mandatory to have valid travel and medical insurance. Please inform us of any known medical conditions you have.
  • Rebecca Adventure Travel reserves the right to change the itinerary without prior notice. Due to weather conditions, availability, National Park regulations or notifications, and unforeseeable circumstances.
  • If you would like to enter the Cotopaxi National Park (for example, to visit Limpiopungo or the Cotopaxi Refugio, or to stop underway to take pictures), you are required to rent the services of a local guide. The cost is USD 40.
