Hello, and thanks for stopping by to meet our team! My name is Katie Beckwith, Sales Supervisor and Destination Expert at Rebecca Adventure Travel. I grew up in a small town in Maine, USA with big dreams to explore and discover the world. I studied Recreation Management and Tourism with a focus on Park Interpretation at the University of Maine at Machias, which eventually led me to Ecuador!
Once in Ecuador, I fell head over heels in love with the friendly and warm people, the diverse landscapes, and oh yes, the amazing Ecuadorian food! The mesmerizing Andes is where I now call home and began my family. I love waking up in the morning to clear skies and viewing the Cayambe, Antisana, Pichincha, and Cotopaxi volcanoes within my horizons. I also love the fact that each day is a new opportunity to offer this incredible and diverse country as the perfect travel destination for those looking for adventure.
In my 11 years of working in tourism in this extraordinary country of Ecuador, I have learned so much from the culture and heritage of my Ecuadorian family. Likewise, I have been fortunate to travel to the most sought-out destinations in Ecuador and all those in between such as the Galapagos, Amazon, and Andean highlights. My favorite is the Amazon Rainforest and the magical energy you feel in the midst of the flora and fauna. With my two young daughters, we love to hike and explore the mountains, disconnecting from Wi-Fi and modern technology as we visit glacier lakes across the Andes and feel the wind blowing past us and through the highlands grass on the way to our next summit!
The most satisfying part of my career in tourism in Ecuador is that along with Rebecca, I can help design the most memorable adventures and make them a reality.
