Itinerary

QUITO FOOD PRIVATE TOUR
In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel to start your Quito Food Private Tour.

The first visit will be to a coffee lab located in the Mariscal area where you’ll enjoy and learn about the multiple varieties of coffee available in Ecuador.

You will continue the way to Quito Historical Center with a stop in a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious “empanada” (stuffed bread or pastry).

After a short walk around Quito’s main square, you’ll taste the Andes’s variety of flavors with a traditional lunch.

In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to learn about Quito’s typical sweet traditions like “garrapiñada” (caramel coated peanuts), “pristiños” (fried pastries served with raw sugar syrup), or “quesadillas“ (muffins topped with frosting).

This amazing experience ends with a visit to a traditional “fonda” (small and economical restaurant) where you can try the local beer, the famous “chicha” (a fermented beverage made of corn), or local cocktails.

Transportation is included with pick up and drop off at your selected hotel in Quito. If your hotel is not located in the Quito Urban Zone, there is an extra charge of $40 USD (round trip) which can be paid directly to the driver. This extra charge applies to hotels in the valleys, Tababela, or hotels close to the airport.
This is a private tour that you can modify to your own preferences. You can choose to do an additional chocolate tour, go tubing in the river, visit a butterfly farm, and much more.
Time Disclaimer: It is recommended that this private tour start no later than 08:00 A.M. because you will enjoy the tour at a good pace and will not miss out on any activities. If you choose a later departure time, you might miss some activities due to traffic or other circumstances.
