Itinerary

DAY 1 Quito Welcome and Transfer IN
Your Elopement Wedding in Ecuador tour starts here. You will be picked up at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO) and brought to your hotel, which is located nearby the airport. At the hotel you will have some time to relax and enjoy nature. You will enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel.

DAY 2 Papallacta full Day Tour
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will depart to have a wonderful and relaxed day at Papallacta hot springs. The open-air thermal pools have various medicinal benefits. Due to their minerals, these waters will help you to gently exfoliate your skin and relax your body. At Papallacta, you will enjoy a delicious lunch with a mountain viewing. Later on you will be delighted with a relaxing couples massage. After a calm day at hot springs you will go back to your hotel in Quito. At the hotel you will enjoy your dinner and then go rest to be ready for the next day.

DAY 3 Rehearsal Day
After breakfast you will start this magical day. This day is dedicated to seeing all the details for your wedding. You will be able to have a makeup and hairstyle test. Additionally you can define the final details. The wedding planner will be with you for all the questions and last requirements you may have. After lunch you will have some time to rest and to get ready for the rehearsal dinner. Then you will go to rest to be ready for your wedding on the next day.

DAY 4 Wedding Day
Today is the BIG DAY! After breakfast you will start getting ready. The makeup and hair stylist will be waiting for you while the other suppliers will be defining last details and the decoration. The judge will arrive at the hotel to start with the symbolic ceremony. After the ceremony you will enjoy a delicious meal while you enjoy beautiful live music.

DAY 5 Quito City Tour and Photoshoot
This one-day cultural tour takes you to a photoshoot experience in Quito. In the morning the highlights of the Quito’s Historical Center, which is listed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list.

Your Tour includes a local lunch. Then you will be transported for approximately 45 minutes to visit the Intiñan Equator Museum, located 200 meters from the Middle of the World Monument, and after that, you will have time to go to the Pululahua’s Crater

DAY 6 Quito - Mashpi
Around 08:00 AM, you will be picked up at your hotel. You will start driving North, and on the way, you will stop a couple of times to take pictures of the beautiful nature. You will also make a stop at the Tulipe archeological site to learn about the ancient cultures of the region.

Around 12:00 PM, you will arrive in the lodge where you will be welcomed with a cocktail. Then, you will enjoy a big lunch buffet with national and international dishes. In the afternoon, you will learn about the lodge and the different experiences you can participate in, and based on your wishes, your activities will be planned in advance. It is possible to visit the “Life Center” where you will find a lovely butterfly garden and a birdwatching terrace. To get there, you can take a short hike which takes 25 minutes, or a long hike which takes about 50 minutes.

Later, you can do a night-hike where you can find spiders, snakes, frogs and other nocturnal species. At 7:30 PM, a delicious 3 course a la carte dinner will be served. You can usually choose between 3 or 4 options for starters and main course.

DAY 7 Mashpi activity day
Approximately at 06:30 AM, the first activity of the day starts: birdwatching. Your guide will explain how to use the binoculars, how to take great nature pictures, and if you’re lucky, you can spot some endemic birds or mammals. Later, you can enjoy a breakfast buffet served with the best orange juice and cappuccino coffee. The activities you will do today depend a lot on your wishes; you can go hiking, swim at the waterfalls, ride the “Dragonfly” which takes about 1,5 hours to go from the lodge all the way over the cloud forest in a cable cart. You can also go to the hummingbirds garden, go “air-biking”, visit the science center or you can just relax in the lodge’s spa

DAY 8 Mashpi - Quito
This is the last day of your tour in Mashpi Lodge. In the morning, you will have some time again for one more activity of your wish. At around 11:00 AM, you will check out from the lodge, and your shared transportation will drive you back to Quito’s Airport, in about 3,5 hours.

Guides: All our guides have a professional background from the Tourism University; this means they have a degree in guiding, so their knowledge and skills when leading a group are top-notch. Each guide has several years of experience and they all have taken additional courses for other outdoor activities as well as have International First-Aid certifications. On top of all of this, they are all extremely personable and strive to deliver the travel experiences of a lifetime.
Please take with you some plastic bags, to protect your Camera and important documents passports and ID from the rain.
Please bring your own rain poncho, or buy it here in Ecuador, and take it with you for the activities, the weather could change suddenly in the rainforest and you might get very wet.
Health advice: You must have the vaccination for yellow fever and malaria medication to enter this region.
It is important to have valid travel and medical insurance. Please inform us of any known medical conditions you have.
Inform yourself about food safety when traveling to tropical countries. Take the necessary precaution to avoid food poisoning (always wash your hands before eating, don’t eat ‘street food’, only eat peeled fruits, etc.).
