Along the trip, you will learn about medicinal plants, taste edible fruits and insects, and discover how to weave traditional palm-fiber bags. Hikers have several options to choose from. One option is the Rayucocha Waterfall hike, which combines a demanding hike on an ancient trail leading to a hidden waterfall. The other option is the Umbuni Waterfall, which combines a rainforest hike with a cultural visit to a Kichwa community. Later in the day, you will go to Misahualli, where you can see monkeys playing in the forest next to the beach, perfect for witnessing an Amazonian river sunset. You will also visit an Indigenous Community. Here, a group of Kichwa women will speak of their customs, cuisine, and everyday life in the Amazon. They have created a place to showcase their culture. This will be a unique opportunity to learn about Amazonian lifestyles along the Napo River. Here, you will have the opportunity to buy crafts, local products, and souvenirs.
Today is the final day of your Amazon Adventure. After breakfast, you will harvest cacao, and learn how to create some of the highest-quality chocolate in the world right from your Kichwa Kitchen.
