DAY 1 BOGOTA
Today your Hidden Treasures Colombia tour starts. Pick up at the airport and transfer to your hotel located in the historic center of the Andean capital. Rest of the day at leisure to start discovering the atmosphere of Bogotá. (Transfer: 30 min)

DAY 2 BOGOTA
Today, discover the center of Bogota in an original and atypical way. The walking tour of the capital will take you through the most authentic places in the city. In the morning: Walking city tour in the center. You will discover the colonial district of la Candelaria, Bogota historical center and its squares and markets. It is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and to understand their way of life. In the afternoon: you will visit the famous Gold Museum and Botero Museum where you will be able to admire the masterpieces of the renowned Colombian painter and sculptor. (Walking tour: 8h)

DAY 3 BOGOTA – SALENTO
In the morning, transfer from your hotel to Bogotá Airport. Flight: Bogotá – Pereira. Pick-up at Pereira Airport and transfer to your hotel: a nice traditional farm, located in the surroundings of Salento. In the afternoon, departure for a visit of a traditional coffee farm near Salento. You will reach the farm walking down from Salento, enjoying the local landscapes of the coffee region. The local farmer will explain the whole process of small-scale coffee production, from grounds gathering to the final product. You will be offered a cup of coffee at the end of the tour. The local production is available for sale. Return to Salento and your hotel in Jeep Willys. (Transfers: 30min + 1h – Visit: 1h – Walking: 1h30)

DAY 4 SALENTO – VALLE DEL COCORA
Today, departure by jeep Willys (typical transportation) to the Cocora Valley. You will follow your guide on a wonderful hike and discover the gorgeous valley. The site offers a surrealistic atmosphere, with the numerous wax palm trees, the national tree of Colombia. Return back to Salento at the end of the hike, and lunch in a restaurant offering a beautiful view over the area. In the afternoon, you will go back to Salento, for a little walking tour of the village. (Transport: 1h – Hiking: 3h)

DAY 5 SALENTO – MEDELLIN
Early this morning, transfer from your hotel to Pereira Airport. Flight: Pereira – Medellín. Pick-up at Medellín Airport, and transfer to your hotel located in a lively area of the city: El Poblado. Your guide will meet you at the hotel to start visiting the city of Eternal Spring! Be prepared to take one of the nicest tours as if you were a citizen of Medellin. Together, with the guide, you will take public transportation to downtown. You will pass by the Administrative Center La Alpujarra, the train station, Botero square. Then, you will take the Metro-cable to go to the Botanical Garden. The tour will end by taking the metro to the central market and the visit of Plaza Mayor and Pies descalzos Park. Return to your hotel in public transportation. (Transfers: 1h + 15min – Walking tour: 6h)

DAY 6 GUATAPE – LA ROCA EL PEÑOL
Today you will discover the wonderful landscape around Guatape: a nice colorful little village, surrounded by a huge and beautiful lagoon. Departure to Guatape. You will visit El Peñol: an immense rock that dominates the Guatape Lagoon and the colonial village. The view is spectacular! This place has been called a natural and environmental heritage of Colombia. You will then go down to the village and visit its colorful streets! Return to your hotel during the afternoon.

DAY 7 MEDELLIN – TAYRONA PARK
In the morning, transfer from your hotel to Medellín Airport. Flight: Medellín – Santa Marta. Pick up at Santa Marta Airport and transfer to the surroundings of the Tayrona Park. Arrival at your hotel overlooking the Caribbean sea. This quiet place has a privileged location between the Piedras river and the sea, at the foot of the mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Free afternoon to enjoy the beach and the beautiful sunset. (Transfers: 45min + 1h30)

DAY 8 TAYRONA PARK – ARRECIFES & CABO SAN JUAN
In the morning, transfer from your hotel to the Tayrona Park entrance. The hike in the Tayrona Park will take you to a magical place located between mountains, tropical forest and the sea. You will discover beautiful white sand beaches and ancestral volcanic rocks in the crystal clear Caribbean Sea. You start with a hike in the tropical jungle from Cañaveral. Then, you enjoy the exotic beaches of Arrecifes and stop at La Piscina, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Continue to the Cabo San Juan, a wonderful bay of white sand surrounded by volcanic rocks. Free time to have lunch in the Tayrona Park and to enjoy the beaches. Afterwards, you will go back to the park’s entrance, where a vehicle will take you back to the hotel. (Transport: 30min roundtrip – Hike: 4h)

DAY 9 TAYRONA PARK – CARTAGENA
In the morning, transfer to Cartagena. In the afternoon, follow the footsteps of famous pirates and discover the “Pearl of the Caribbean”, a city rich in culture, diversity, exotic and heritage. This tour throughout the beautiful city of Cartagena will bring you back to colonial times, amidst colorful houses and lively squares. Walking tour in the colonial neighborhoods of San Diego and Santo Domingo. You will pass by: Plaza de los Coches, plaza de la Aduana, parque Bolívar, el Museo del Oro, el Palacio de la Inquisición, plaza de Santa Teresa, plaza de Santo Domingo, las murallas and Las Bóvedas. DAY 11 CARTAGENA – TRANSFER OUT
Today is your last day of the Hidden Treasures Colombia tour and you will have your last moments to enjoy Cartagena and transfer from your hotel to Cartagena Airport, where you will take your international flight. Transfer: 20min.
