Beautiful, Safe, Ecuador! Get your cameras ready!! Rebecca Adventure Travel worked with us to customize a 15 day, self-driven tour from the top of the country to the bottom of the country within the Ecuadorian Andes mountains. It’s was a fast paced trip but so worth being able to see the center of the country as well as some of own adventures. We planned the trip well in advance and selected each destination with purpose. Rebecca Adventure Travel did the rest. Fine hotels, excellent guides, car rental, attractions, some meals, and they provided FULL TIME guidance throughout the trip. We are well pleased with the team, communication was excellent and the hotels were beyond our expectations. We will use Rebecca Adventure Travel again and highly recommend their services. Many thanks to Maggie, Guillermo, Miguel, Katie!!Posted on Tripadvisor

A trip to remember! We booked the 23-Day Complete Ecuador & Galapagos tour through Juan in the Rebecca office. From the start there was clear communication and a helpful attitude, nothing was a problem. This continued throughout the whole trip. The guides were awesome and Carlos and the Operations team were always on call to help us if we needed it. This was a fantastic tour which covered all the main attractions including a week in the Galapagos islands which was amazing. I highly recommend Rebecca Adventure Travel!Posted on Tripadvisor

Your great Ecuador and Galápagos tour package begins! Upon arrival at Quito Airport, you’ll be met for a private transfer to your hotel in the city. The rest of the day is free to settle in and relax.

Explore Quito’s historic centre, beginning at Panecillo Hill for sweeping views over the city. Continue to the Basílica del Voto Nacional, the city’s main squares, and San Francisco Church before stopping for a traditional Ecuadorian lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the Intiñan Museum near the Middle of the World to learn about the equator through interactive experiments, then continue to the Pululahua Crater before returning to Quito.

Head into the Andean cloud forest on a private day trip to Mindo, a small village surrounded by lush forest. Try zip lining and hiking, then visit a butterfly farm where you may also spot hummingbirds and, with some luck, a toucan.
After lunch in the village, return to Quito in the afternoon before boarding a semi-private night bus around 11:00 PM for the approximately eight-hour journey to the Cuyabeno Reserve.

Arrive at the Cuyabeno Bridge, the gateway to your Amazon adventure, where you’ll transfer to a canoe for the two-hour journey down the Cuyabeno River. Your guide will introduce you to the reserve and share practical recommendations before you continue to the lodge.
After settling into your room and enjoying dinner, head into the rainforest for a guided night walk.

Start early with a canoe excursion, when the rainforest is at its most active and wildlife is often easier to spot. After breakfast, hike through primary rainforest with naturalist and local guides, learning about the practical and medicinal uses of the plants along the way.
Later, take a paddling or motorized canoe along the river in search of monkeys and freshwater dolphins, then head back into the forest after dinner to look for insects, frogs, and, with some luck, snakes.

Rise early for another opportunity to spot monkeys and colorful birds before returning to the lodge for breakfast. In the afternoon, cruise along the Cuyabeno River in search of freshwater pink and grey river dolphins, then climb above the canopy for birding and panoramic views of the surrounding rainforest.
After dinner, set out on a nighttime excursion to look for caimans and nocturnal birds.

Travel by canoe along the Cuyabeno River to visit the Siona Community, where your naturalist guide will introduce you to local culture and traditions.
Continue by canoe to the Cuyabeno Bridge, then board a semi-private bus for the approximately eight-hour journey back to Quito.

Visit Condor Park to learn about Ecuador’s majestic Andean birds and watch a bird presentation before continuing to Otavalo. Explore the famous market, browsing its colorful selection of traditional crafts and local products, then hike through the forest to Peguche Waterfall. Return to Quito at the end of the day.

Travel to Cotopaxi National Park, where you can choose between hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding amid the dramatic volcanic landscape. In the afternoon, continue to a local hacienda, where you can see alpacas and enjoy views of the surrounding mountains.

Drive about 1½ hours to Quilotoa Crater, home to a striking turquoise lagoon surrounded by the high Andes. Hike down into the crater to reach the water, then enjoy a local lunch before continuing to Baños, a small town set between the Andes and the Amazon region.

Head toward the lush foothills of the Amazon Basin for a hike through the forest to Pailón del Diablo, a powerful waterfall plunging into a dramatic gorge. Explore the falls from different viewpoints, including an overhanging bridge, before returning to Baños.
In the afternoon, visit La Casa del Árbol, famous for its swing overlooking the valley and Tungurahua Volcano, with optional time for zip-lining or shopping.

Set out early for Chimborazo, taking advantage of the typically clear morning weather. Stop in Urbina for panoramic views of the valleys and snow-capped volcano before entering the national park and traveling through rugged terrain to the first refuge at 14,764 feet (4,500 metres).
If you’re up for the altitude, continue to the second refuge at 16,404 feet (5,000 metres), while keeping an eye out for vicuñas, Andean condors, and other high-altitude wildlife.

Drive south through the Andes toward Cuenca with a private driver and guide. Depending on your interests, make stops along the way at Guamote, Aloasi, or the Ingapirca ruins. The journey combines dramatic mountain scenery with opportunities to see rural communities and local life along the route.

Discover Cuenca on a private guided tour through the city’s historic centre and colonial streets. The afternoon is free to explore independently, giving you time to visit more of the city or simply enjoy its cafés, plazas, and riverside setting.

Explore Cajas National Park on foot, hiking through its high-altitude landscape of tundra vegetation and distinctive polylepis forests. In the afternoon, leave the Andes behind and drive to Guayaquil for the night.

Fly from Guayaquil to Baltra, then meet your English-speaking guide at the airport for the journey to Puerto Ayora. Before reaching town, stop at a ranch in the Santa Cruz highlands to see Galápagos giant tortoises in their natural habitat and walk among these remarkable animals before continuing to your hotel.

Choose between Santa Fe and Pinzón, with the destination determined by weather and Galápagos National Park regulations. At Santa Fe, take a scenic boat ride to the island’s pristine bay for snorkeling in crystal-clear water before making a wet landing at Playa Escondida or Garrapatero on Santa Cruz.
If Pinzón is selected, explore La Fe’s mangroves and rocky shores, where marine iguanas, sea lions, sea turtles, small sharks, and colorful fish can be found. The excursion may also include a traditional fishing demonstration through the Pesca Vivencial program, depending on conditions and park regulations.
Wet landing means the boat approaches the beach and you disembark in the water, so bring extra clothing in case you get wet. Closed walking shoes or sneakers are recommended for rocky areas.
* Wet landing means that the boat gets close to the beach, and from there, you will disembark in the sea. It is recommended that you bring extra clothing, as you might get wet.

Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about the conservation work protecting the Galápagos’ unique environment and biodiversity. Your guide will also explain more about the islands’ giant tortoises before lunch, after which you’ll board a public speedboat for the approximately three-hour journey to Isabela.

Explore Isabela’s wetlands on a morning excursion, visiting the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center and seeing tortoises at different stages of life. Continue to the Wall of Tears, with the full wetlands excursion taking approximately three to four hours on foot.
After lunch and a short break, take a boat from Puerto Villamil across the bay to Tintoreras Islet, where you can see penguins, sea lions, and marine iguanas, and snorkel among colorful tropical fish. Closed walking shoes are required for crossing the volcanic rocks.

Set out by boat from Puerto Villamil to Los Túneles, one of Isabela’s most spectacular snorkeling destinations. Explore its striking lava formations and clear waters while looking for seabirds, giant tortoises, marine iguanas, sea lions, manta rays, Galápagos penguins, lobsters, and sea snakes.
Depending on the timing of your excursion, you can also visit nearby Concha Perla independently before or after the tour.

Enjoy a free day to explore Isabela at your own pace. Relax on the beach, discover the island independently, or choose from the optional activities available in and around Puerto Villamil.

After breakfast, enjoy some time around the hotel or along the nearby boulevard before your transfer to Guayaquil Airport for your onward flight.

Today, your Ecuador & Galápagos tour package comes to an end. You can use the hotel’s installations like the swimming pool, and walk around the boulevard and the surroundings. After breakfast, you will have a transfer back to Guayaquil Airport.
