Begin on the mainland with Quito’s colonial center, a Kichwa cultural immersion on the Napo, a dawn visit to a parrot clay lick, and the famous indigenous market at Otavalo. Then spend a week in the Galápagos exploring Santa Cruz, Isabela, and Los Túneles, before ending at the Papallacta hot springs on your way home. See more options in our Ecuador tours.
Rebecca Adventure Travel is a B Corp certified, female-owned operator based in Quito, designing Galápagos and mainland journeys since 2014. The three-night Amazon stay allows time for experiences that genuinely require it: the parrot clay lick begins at dawn, while a visit to the AmaZoonico rescue center takes a full afternoon. The trip includes all transfers, round-trip Quito–Galápagos flights, lodge and hotel accommodation, private guiding, island excursions and 24/7 assistance in English, Dutch, and Spanish. Park entry (USD 200) and the INGALA card (USD 20) are paid in cash.
Watch hundreds of colorful parrots gather at dawn at a remote Amazonian clay lick.
Meet a Kichwa family, learn about their traditions and discover daily life along the Napo River.
Explore Isabela’s remarkable lava tunnels by boat and snorkel among sea turtles, penguins, and reef fish.
Soak in mineral-rich thermal pools surrounded by the misty Andean mountains.
Visit this Amazonian wildlife center, which rehabilitates animals rescued from illegal trafficking and the pet trade.

Beautiful, Safe, Ecuador! Get your cameras ready!! Rebecca Adventure Travel worked with us to customize a 15 day, self-driven tour from the top of the country to the bottom of the country within the Ecuadorian Andes mountains. It’s was a fast paced trip but so worth being able to see the center of the country as well as some of own adventures. We planned the trip well in advance and selected each destination with purpose. Rebecca Adventure Travel did the rest. Fine hotels, excellent guides, car rental, attractions, some meals, and they provided FULL TIME guidance throughout the trip. We are well pleased with the team, communication was excellent and the hotels were beyond our expectations. We will use Rebecca Adventure Travel again and highly recommend their services. Many thanks to Maggie, Guillermo, Miguel, Katie!!Posted on Tripadvisor

A trip to remember! We booked the 23-Day Complete Ecuador & Galapagos tour through Juan in the Rebecca office. From the start there was clear communication and a helpful attitude, nothing was a problem. This continued throughout the whole trip. The guides were awesome and Carlos and the Operations team were always on call to help us if we needed it. This was a fantastic tour which covered all the main attractions including a week in the Galapagos islands which was amazing. I highly recommend Rebecca Adventure Travel!Posted on Tripadvisor

This Ecuador and Galápagos tour package begins with your arrival in Quito. At the airport, a private driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Settle in and take some time to rest and adjust to the altitude.
With the Andes rising around the city, Quito provides a striking introduction to Ecuador and a comfortable starting point for the journey ahead.

Explore Quito with a guided tour of its UNESCO-listed historic center, beginning at El Panecillo for panoramic views before continuing to La Basílica, Plaza Grande, and San Francisco Church. After a traditional lunch, continue north to the Intiñan Museum to learn about the equator through its interactive exhibits.
The day ends at Pululahua, one of the world’s few inhabited volcanic craters. Its dramatic landscape provides a change of scenery from Quito’s historic streets before you return to the city.

Leave Quito behind and travel east by semi-private transfer toward Tena, the gateway to Ecuador’s Amazon region. On arrival, settle into your jungle lodge, surrounded by tropical gardens and lush rainforest vegetation.
Take the rest of the afternoon to relax in the lodge’s open-air spaces before dinner. In the evening, enjoy a welcome drink and briefing that will prepare you for the days of rainforest exploration ahead.

Explore the Amazon on a guided walk through primary and secondary rainforest, with expert guides pointing out the plants, animals, and other details that are easy to miss on your own.
In the afternoon, visit a local Kichwa community to learn about life in the rainforest. Help prepare traditional chicha, share local dishes, and discover how cultural visits and handicrafts support the community.

Travel by canoe to Anaconda Island, where you can look for hoatzins, monkeys, and other wildlife along the riverbanks. Continue to a local Indigenous community to learn about sustainable practices and the traditional uses of medicinal plants.
After lunch, visit the AmaZoonico rescue centre to see Amazonian wildlife up close. The combination of river travel, forest exploration, and community experiences makes this a full day in the Amazon.

Rise early for a canoe ride to a parrot clay lick, where hundreds of parrots and parakeets gather to feed on mineral-rich clay along the riverbank. Watching the birds arrive and congregate at the site offers one of the Amazon’s most memorable wildlife spectacles.
After the excursion, return to the lodge before beginning the journey back to Quito. The change from rainforest to Andean highlands marks the next stage of your Ecuador adventure.
Travel north into the Andes to Otavalo, home to one of South America’s best-known Indigenous markets. Stop at San Pablo Lake before exploring Poncho Square, which is particularly lively on Saturdays, and enjoy a traditional lunch.
Continue to Peguche Waterfall for a scenic hike, with the day’s final stop depending on the schedule: visit a condor rescue centre or continue to Cotacachi. The combination of markets, mountain scenery, and local traditions offers a different perspective on Ecuador after your time in the Amazon.

Fly from Quito to the Galápagos, then meet your naturalist guide at Baltra Airport and cross to Santa Cruz Island. On the way to Puerto Ayora, stop in the highlands to see giant tortoises roaming freely in their natural habitat.
Walk among the tortoises before continuing to Puerto Ayora and checking into your hotel. After the journey from the mainland, the afternoon offers time to settle in and begin exploring the island at a slower pace.

Choose between two full-day Galápagos experiences. Visit Santa Fe for clear-water snorkeling and encounters with endemic wildlife, followed by a beach landing on Santa Cruz, or head to Pinzón to explore waters rich in sea turtles, sea lions, reef sharks, and dolphins.
Depending on conditions, the Pinzón excursion may also include a traditional fishing demonstration. Both options involve wet landings, so be prepared to get into the water and embrace the island adventure.

Enjoy a relaxed morning on Santa Cruz with free time to visit Tortuga Bay independently. The beach is one of the island’s standout coastal landscapes and gives you a chance to explore without a scheduled excursion.
In the afternoon, board a public speedboat for the journey to Isabela. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in Puerto Villamil and settle in for the next stage of your Galápagos experience.

Explore Isabela’s wetlands on foot, visiting the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, Flamingo Lagoon, and the Wall of Tears along the way. The route combines several of the island’s distinctive landscapes while offering opportunities to see giant tortoises, flamingos, and other wildlife.
In the afternoon, take a boat to Tintoreras Islet, where white-tip reef sharks rest in the narrow lava channels. Continue exploring the volcanic coastline and snorkel in the surrounding waters, where marine life gathers close to shore.

Travel by boat from Puerto Villamil to Los Túneles, a maze of lava formations and one of Isabela’s most distinctive snorkeling sites. Swim through clear, shallow waters among sea turtles, reef sharks, and other marine life while exploring the formations with your guide.
Depending on the timing of the excursion, you may also have the opportunity to snorkel independently at Concha de Perla near the Puerto Villamil dock. It’s a quieter way to spend time in the water before leaving the islands.

Leave Isabela early and travel by boat to Baltra for your flight back to Quito. From the airport, continue by road into the Andes toward Papallacta, where cloud forest and mountain landscapes replace the volcanic scenery of the Galápagos.
Arrive at Papallacta and settle into your spa hotel for the final stage of the journey. The peaceful mountain setting provides a natural transition from the islands to the relaxing hot springs experience that follows.

Slow down in the Andes with a relaxing day at the Papallacta hot springs, where naturally heated pools are surrounded by mountain and cloud forest scenery. Soak in the thermal waters and enjoy a quieter pace as your Ecuador adventure begins to wind down.
For more active exploration, take an optional hike in Antisana National Park, known for its high-altitude landscapes and wildlife. Return to Papallacta afterward for more time at the springs before continuing to Quito.

Your Ecuador and Galápagos tour package comes to an end today. After breakfast, travel from Papallacta back to Quito, enjoying a few more grand views of the Andean landscapes.
From there, your driver will take you to the airport for your onward flight, concluding a memorable trip.
