Regenerative Travel Ecuador Tour Summary

This 12-day regenerative travel Ecuador tour combines community-based experiences on the mainland with conservation and local initiatives in the Galápagos. Spend a day with a Kichwa family in the Otavalo highlands, help clear invasive plants from a Galápagos farm where endemic Scalesia is being restored, and eat lunch at an ecolodge in the highlands of Isla Isabela. You’ll also take a surfing lesson with a local instructor and snorkel at famous dive sites like Kicker Rock and Los Túneles. So if that sounds thrilling, explore more of our Galápagos tours.

Rebecca Adventure Travel is a B Corp Certified, female-founded tour operator based in Ecuador, and the Huella Positiva model informs the regenerative approach of this itinerary. Community visits, farm experiences, and meals are contracted directly with the families or cooperatives running them, without an intermediary. This regenerative travel Ecuador tour includes transfers, the Galápagos flight, island excursions, community activities, and 24/7 local support in English, Dutch, and Spanish. 12 Days of Regenerative Travel in Ecuador: FAQs

  • What is a regenerative travel Ecuador tour?

Travel that leaves destinations in Ecuador measurably better than you found them, rather than simply doing less harm. Here, that means farm restoration work, direct community contact, and relying on local suppliers.

  • What does the organic farming morning involve?

Clearing invasive blackberries from a San Cristóbal highlands farm so endemic Scalesia can regenerate. It is physical work for about three hours, done alongside the family who owns the farm.

  • Does the money from this regenerative travel Ecuador tour actually reach local communities?

Every community activity on this tour is contracted directly with the family or cooperative running it. Rebecca Adventure Travel is B Corp certified, which audits that claim.

  • Is this regenerative travel Ecuador tour still wildlife trip?

Yes. Kicker Rock, Los Túneles, La Galapaguera, Sierra Negra, and Tortuga Bay are all included. The regenerative activities occur alongside the wildlife days, not instead of them.

  • How fit do I need to be for this 12-day regenerative travel Ecuador tour?

Moderate. The Sierra Negra walk and the farm work are the most demanding elements. Everything else is short walks, flat cycling, snorkeling, and community visits.
