Vicente Roca Point is one of the most well-known snorkeling spots of the Galápagos islands. Located north of Isabela island, it is featured in the itinerary of numerous cruises organized around the archipelago, usually including a one-day stop.
Punta Espinoza is a narrow ledge of lava and sand that extends from the base of the volcano to the sea. From its anchorage at Bay Banks people have witnessed and recorded an eruption of Fernandina in the decade of the 1820s that probably gave rise to the Point.

Urbina Bay is located on the southeast side of the Alcedo Volcano on Isabela Island. This area was thrust upward from beneath the sea by volcanic activity in 1954, and many coral, rounded stones, and other skeletons and marine formations can be seen on this site. Tagus Cove is a historical site visited by Charles Darwin in 1835, where graffiti has been carved into the rock walls by visitors over the past centuries

The island consists of an extinct volcano and a variety of red, orange, green, and glistening black volcanic formations. Bartolomé has a volcanic cone that is easy to climb and provides great views of the other islands. Bartholomew is famous for its Pinnacle Rock, which is a distinctive characteristic of this island.

This beach is covered in white coral sand, and it’s a major nesting site for Galápagos green turtles. There’s also a lagoon just behind the sand which often hosts flamingos, ducks, and migratory birds. You can also often find marine iguanas feeding on the rocky outcrops near the tide line. Rabida is a relatively small, arid island with steep slopes. Most of the coastline is rocky except for a beach on the northeast side. Several small volcanic craters and the high amount of iron in the lava give the island its distinctive red color and overall appearance.

Journeying across Santa Cruz into the highlands, visitors are delighted by the island’s variety of life and geology. Beginning at the coast and traveling north along the road to Baltra, the road climbs through the agricultural zone and into the mist-covered forests of the highlands. Santa Cruz possesses all of the various life zones present in the archipelago, with wonderful birding opportunities. Whether it’s the bright red feathers of a Vermilion Flycatcher or one of Darwin’s finches almost every land bird present in the islands can be found here.

Punta Suarez can easily count as one of the most coveted visitor sites of the Galapagos. This visitor site is located on the western point of Española Island (hence the name) and consists of a trail of about 4 km (2 miles) in length. Located on Española Island, Gardner Bay consists of an extensive beach of whitish coralline sand with several colonies of Galapagos sea lions. Here, we can also observe the endemic mockingbird of Española, usually in small groups defending their territories.

The Interpretation Center takes us through the history and settlement of the islands. Visitors can enjoy expositions on natural history, human history and conservation via panels in English and Spanish, as well as smaller exhibits and old photographs.
Natural history explains the different natural facts, such as the volcanic origin of the islands, the distance between the mainland, its currents, the special climate, the arrival of different species, etc.

You will arrive to Arrive at San Cristobal airport, then you will head to Cerro Brujo.

Cerro Brujo is an eroding tuff cone that at several locations is composed of AA lava formations. It is a beautiful white sand beach, with an impressive volcanic landscape. Great for snorkeling and sunbathing.

South Plazas is blessed with spectacular vegetation, bringing the island to life with spectacular colors. A dense carpet of vibrant red and purple Sesuvium combines with unusual prickly pear cacti to wow visitors. South Plaza Island is also home to a colony of beautiful unique hybrid iguanas, and many nesting sea birds.

Like most of the Galapagos, the Chinese Hat is volcanic in origin. Ages ago, the volcano on nearby Santiago Island erupted, spewing rocks and forming what is known as a “spatter cone.” It’s essentially a mountain made of lava and rocks from an erupting volcano.

Darwin Bay is a stunning coral beach. There is a trail that runs along the beach which takes in tidal pools, and passes by bird colonies, with some pleasant views to be seen along the way too. In particular, there is a great cliff view at the end of the trail. Prince Philip’s Steps is an extraordinary steep path that leads through a seabird colony full of life, up to cliffs that are 25 meters (82 feet) high. At the top, the trail continues inland, passing more seabird colonies in a thin palo santo forest. The trail also provides overviews of a rocky plain.

North Seymour (Spanish: Isla Seymour Norte) is a small island near Baltra Island in the Galápagos Islands. It was formed by the uplift of a submarine lava formation. The whole island is covered with low, bushy vegetation. Santa Fe Island is one of the oldest in the Galapagos Islands archipelago. It is thought to be at least four million years old.

Post Office Bay Galapagos is a place where old-school communications rules and age-old traditions still mean something. For Galapagos visitors, Post Office Bay is a wonderful glimpse into the human history of the Galapagos islands, and a chance to join in the fun for yourselves. Punta Cormorant is a 1.1 mile out and back trail located near Puerto Velasco Ibarra, Galápagos, Ecuador that features a lake and is good for all skill levels.

Santa Cruz also offers excellent opportunities for viewing wild tortoises, both roaming through pastures in the agricultural zone and in the Tortoise Reserve, which is accessible from Santa Rosa or Salasaca. Several farms serve food and allow visitors to explore their grounds in search of tortoises. Currently, the Charles Darwin Research organization’s staff is composed of more than 75% Ecuadorians and is committed to the professional training of the permanent residents of the Galapagos.

Accessed by panga, Lobos island gets its name from the herds of sea lions that have made their home here, snorkeling in the calm clear water provides an amazing opportunity to see these inquisitive and playful animals up close and it is also common to be accompanied by green turtles and rays as well.
