Your adventure begins in the city of Coca. You will be transferred to the local pier to board a motorized canoe. You will travel on the Napo River until you reach the Manatee Amazon First Class cruise and the private landing. The crew will greet you with a warm welcome and present you to the naturalist guides. Your guide will also give you a welcome briefing with an informative introduction to the Ecuadorian Amazon. After dinner and exploring the cruise, you will take a night walk into the Amazon forest to listen and observe the nocturnal wildlife.

You will start the day by traveling downstream to the Pañayacu River delta. Here you will embark on a canoe trip to the Pañacocha Lagoon. This is an ecosystem flooded by blackwater river water. The surrounding protected rainforest is home to many primates, birds, caimans, and aquatic animals such as the Paiche Amazon fish, and even piranhas. During the walk with your guide, you will be able to observe some of these species. Afterward, you will have a chance to recharge with an Amazon-style barbeque at a local community. After this short rest, you can kayak and swim, or simply relax and take in the surroundings before returning to the cruise.

Early in the morning, you will go out exploring by canoe to witness one of the most incredible sights in the western Amazon basin, the famous parrot clay licks! This spot is rich in minerals and attracts hundreds of parrots, parakeets, and other Amazon bird species. They meet here to lick the clay which aids in their digestion. If you are a bird watcher or an avid wildlife lover, you will love this experience. In the afternoon, you will visit the Kichwa community and learn about their indigenous lifestyle along the Napo River and their ancestral culture. Meet an authentic Kichwa Family in the morning on the banks of the Napo River and learn about their lifestyle in the community.
