DAY 1 ARRIVAL TO QUITO
After your flight to Quito, you’ll be picked up by a private transfer to take you to your hotel in Quito.

DAY 2 COLONIAL HISTORICAL CENTER – EQUATOR – PULULAHUA
After your breakfast, you will discover the beauty of the colonial historical center of Quito. Lunch will be served at a local “almuerzo” place in La Mariscal and in the afternoon you will visit the Equator and the Inti-Nan Museum. After the museum, you will have the opportunity to visit the Pululahua Crater. At the end of the day, you can explore Quito by yourself and have some resting time.

DAY 3 CONDOR PARK – OTAVALO
Today, an English-speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel to go to Condor Park. At the Condor Park, you will learn more about the Condors and, additionally, you can enjoy a bird show. Hereafter, you will be visiting the indigenous market in Otavalo where you can walk around and see all the typical Ecuadorian products. Furthermore, you will go to the Peguche waterfall. Here, you can enjoy the rainforest while you are walking to the waterfall. At night, you will take semi-private bus transportation to the Cuyabeno Reserve in the Amazon, which will take about 8 hours.

DAY 4 ARRIVAL TO CUYABENO
Early in the morning, you will be picked up (3 AM) to start your journey to Cuyabeno. From here, you will have a canoe trip down the Cuyabeno River to the lodge. The guide will share information about the Reserve, important recommendations, and other tips to begin the two-hour navigation on the Cuyabeno River. Once you arrive at the lodge, you will be shown your rooms and you can relax a little before enjoying a delicious dinner.

DAY 5 CANOE EXCURSION – RAINFOREST
The first activity of the day will be a canoe excursion because the brisk morning hours are the best time to see the rainforest thriving activity. After having breakfast, you’ll trek into the primary rainforest with your naturalist and native guide who will explain to you more about the practical and medicinal uses of the plants. After lunch, you will go out with motorized canoes to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. After dinner, you’ll venture into the forest to find species of insects and with a bit of luck, you will also spot some different species of snakes or frogs.

DAY 6 RAINFOREST – CUYABENO – NIGHT EXCURSION
Today you will also start early in the morning and spend the whole day exploring. You will go downstream to observe the enchanting salt lick. Hereafter, you will return to the lodge for breakfast. After a strengthening breakfast, you will trek into the pristine primary rainforest. Your native guide shares his wealth of knowledge, showing you the medicinal and practical uses of the rainforest’s flora and fauna that their ancestors have taught throughout generations. Then, you will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go along the Cuyabeno River. Additionally, you will have the chance to try your luck at piranha fishing. After dinner, you will go out on a night excursion to search for caimans (alligator family) and nocturnal birds.

DAY 7 KICHWA COMMUNITY – QUITO

DAY 8 PAPALLACTA

DAY 11 RUTA DE LAS CASCADAS
The atmosphere in Baños is laid back and relaxed in this sub-tropical climate. Tourists love to come to Baños for outdoor activities like rafting, canyoning, horseback riding, canopy, mountain biking, or hiking. You will go mountain biking through the most impressive waterfalls of Ecuador, Ruta de las Cascadas without a guide but with a good helmet, mountain bike, and route description. At night, the town is full of entertainment like pubs, restaurants, and bars, all within walking distance. You’ll also have the option to do the canopy line El Torpedo ($ 20) or you can even bungee jump off a bridge ($ 15).
